Sooraya and Kyle chat about movies and their flight training. And poke fun at Scott of course.

"Aren't your claws gonna keep getting tangled up in that?" Sooraya grinned and reached out, plucking a little cloud of wooly fluff from the grey alpaca sweater Kyle was wearing.

Kyle laughed.  "Probably, but worth it in the meantime. I mean, big Ransom Drysdale energy without having to be a spoiled rich kid jerk."

"Big who's energy?" Sooraya shook her head. "I've been really behind in movies."

"Chris Evans' character from Knives Out. It's pretty good, you'd probably like it. Very like. Agatha Christie in tone."  Kyle explained, while building himself an onion-ring, garlic-wing, tater-tot tower. "He spends the entire movie in like, these great sweaters, just like, total coziness."

"I'll put it on the list for next time Alani and I have a movie night." Sooraya eyed the food tower Kyle was building. "Are you gonna eat that or are you just playing with your food?"

"There's a sequel coming out any day now too. Glass Onion. Well, kinda a sequel." Kyle explained.  "I am eventually gonna eat it, but you know. Gotta max out the plate before I sit down somewhere with it."  He set a fried cheese stick on top of the pyramid of tater tots.  "I will totes not spoil, but it's like great like that, you can legit puzzle out the mystery along with the detective guy. Who is, bee tee dubs, played by the guy who played James Bond. It's great."

"You mean Pierce Brosnan, right?" Sooraya commented glibly, glancing to the side just to hide her eyes twinkling.

"No, the next guy."  Kyle's grin belied that he was trying to answer seriously. He knew he was being teased.  "But if you're into Pierce Brosnan, he was just in a movie with The Rock. Okay, so. Can I like, ask the question? Do you have a winter holiday? Cause I looked it up, and I didn't see one but I also just only kinda hit wikipedia."

"No, not really. I mean, because of the moon calendar the dates move around. So while we've holidays in the winter sometimes, they're not winter holidays." Sooraya quickly explained.

Kyle let out a little breath of relief.  "Oh good, because I mean. Okay, I looked, I did a google, and I was worried we'd missed one for you except New Years, and even that's a little.  Secular calendar.'  He finally stacked one wrapped date onto the plate, stuck a toothpick in the top, and then grabbed another date to take a bite of.  "Speaking of secular calendar, we got that first Blackbird training class next week. How you feeling about it?"

"I mean, I don't mind joining in with Thanksgiving or all the stuff in December. But that's mostly because I like having a good time with everyone." Sooraya took two of the chicken wings, putting them on the small plate in front of her. "I keep getting chased around by the blueprints in my sleep, but on the other hand, I'm slowly getting the hang of them. So I think that's a good start. And you?"

"I had to give a boy scout promise I wouldn't ask if we could do any skydiving until we'd cleared to pilot it."  Kyle said, grinning.  "Scott forgot I was never a boy scout. Or doesn't care."

Sooraya giggled and leaned in closer: "Uhm, you do realise said boy scout is currently glaring at you right now?"

"Oh I know. The important thing is that someday he's gonna let me jump out of that plane."

She glanced over, studying said boy scout's face for a moment: "I'd say he could go back on that promise any time now. Just a fair warning!"

"Nope. Got it in writing. And Scott actually was a boy scout."
