The coffee cup slipped out of Monet's fingers, shattering on the floor. She sighed and began picking the largest pieces of china up.
Logan rounded the corner to the kitchen to get himself a small something before heading out on the road. "Should be careful with those." he commented around the cigar in his mouth. If she'd just get out of his way he could go grab some sandwich fixings and be on his way.
"No, really. I'd never guess that on my own."
"But here you are picking up china off the floor. Must be a slow learner." he said. "Or is this some Aussie thing?"
Monet bared her teeth at Logan. "The Australian thing would be me shoving this up your arse and seeing how long it takes your magic healing factor to get rid of it again." She gathered up another could of pieces of coffee mug, hands shaking slightly.
Logan just grinned. "Certainly welcome to try. Can't recommand it, though. It could hurt." he said, then moved past Monet so he could get to the fridge. He didn't miss the tremula in her hands, though. "So. You high or something?" he asked her as he rooted through the fridge.
"No! And even if I was, you think I'd be advertising it?"
"Your hands are shaking." he pointed out. "And you're even bitchier than usual. So what's the deal if it's not drugs?" he asked, leaning against the counter. "You been down to talk to Jeannie?
A shake of her head. "No. I'm fine. Just a bit under the weather. There's nothing wrong." Except that your hands shake, you were seeing double the other day and somehow, you keep dropping things. But that's got to be nothing, right? It's just a weird cold or something, right? "It's nothing. I'm fine."
Logan didn't even need his nose to know that she was lying. But her business was her business. He'd drop a note to Jeannie, give her a head's up. "Suit yourself." he said.
"I will." The mess cleared, Monet tossed the tea towel into the sink and left.
