After their return from tonight's mission, Shiro and Scott find each other not dealing particularly well. But they manage to make each other feel a little bit better. And then Scott asks Shiro a question designed to blow up his brain.

Logan and Marie meet unexpectedly in the gym when every sane person should be asleep. They explore the tension between them and a sparring match ensues; surprisingly, things seem better in the end.

Backdated to just after Masque did his dirty work and Marius undid it. Ororo needs a change, so Lorna takes her to get her hair cut. Afterwards they meet a very nice young man and talk about Lorna's propensity for botanicide.

Backdated to Thursday. Scott goes to check on Lorna the day after the mission, given how it all ended. Both of them are struggling - Scott with having given the order to abandon the mutant in the building, Lorna for obeying it, but both of them are managing semi-successful facades.

( Watch out for those rogue moose. )

After talking to Scott, Lorna's ability to cope is a little strained. Then Haller comes by to talk and the ways in which they're too much alike get discussed. Both temporarily lose their facades.

Logan's out enjoying some sun and a good smoke when Nate comes along, still pissed about the FoH op, to give a piece of his mind. Logan's just not very receptive to Nate's attempts at browbeating.

After his conversation with Logan, Nathan limps back inside in something of a temper. He has a talk with Ororo that turns from him venting into him calming down and giving her advice on a semi-related topic. It actually turns out to be quite a good talk.

( Why the hell was he ever ON active duty in the first place? )

Following up on Shiro's last two posts, Marie stops by Shiro's to see what's going on. It's his family, still a sore spot for both of them.

( We might all find ourselves one day mentally healthy. Or at least self-sufficient. God forbid. )

Marie goes to find Nathan and meets the ever entertaining Rachel. They chat about this, that and the other. The pleasant conversation takes an unfortunate turn that causes Marie to leave abruptly.
